Fatal Marysville car crash deaths of Michael Mallison, Clint Waddell, and Salma Ramirez-Lujano

Three people lost their lives in a heartbreaking head-on crash in Marysville on Saturday afternoon, including 17-year-old Michael Mallison, 22-year-old Clint Waddell, and 22-year-old Salma Ramirez-Lujano.

The fatal accident occurred at around 2:15 p.m. on Highway 70, between Laurellen Road and 24th Street, according to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office. A sedan carrying five individuals, among them a toddler, collided with a truck that had only the driver inside.

All three victims who died—Mallison, Waddell, and Ramirez-Lujano—were passengers in the sedan and were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

A toddler in the sedan suffered injuries, though the nature of those injuries remains undisclosed. Another sedan passenger and the driver of the truck survived but were seriously hurt and transported for medical treatment.

Authorities have not yet provided information on what led to the deadly collision, and the investigation remains open.
