A deadly drive-by shooting in Louisville on Tuesday has claimed the life of 24-year-old Quincy Markez Haynes, according to local authorities.

The Louisville Police Department, with assistance from the Winston County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 18-year-old Ja’Lavian Hunt and 30-year-old Terence Randall Griffin Jr., both of Louisville, in connection with the killing.

Hunt is facing one count of murder and three counts of aggravated assault, while Griffin has been charged as an accessory before and after the fact to both the murder and the assaults.

Police reported that a third individual was briefly detained during the investigation but released after additional evidence cleared them.

The shooting also left three others injured: Javontay Ty’Quaz Harrison, Julius Kanard Love Jr., and Xzarrion Pippin.

The vehicle believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Authorities say the investigation is still active, and they credit the support of local law enforcement agencies and the community for assisting in the case.
