Jonathan Dee Davis dies in fatal Charlotte crash

Fatal Charlotte crash death of Jonathan Dee Davis

A tragic collision in east Charlotte resulted in the death of 37-year-old motorcyclist Jonathan Dee Davis on Wednesday evening, June 18.

Authorities from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported that the crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Albemarle Road, near the Target shopping center. When officers arrived, they discovered a heavily damaged motorcycle and a Nissan involved in the accident.

Emergency responders found Davis lying on the roadway and pronounced him dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Nissan was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover.

Initial findings by investigators indicated that excessive speed on the part of the motorcycle may have contributed to the incident. No criminal charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
