Fatal Naperville crash death of Dante Fields

A tragic two-vehicle crash in Naperville on Thursday night claimed the life of 26-year-old Dante Fields, a motorcyclist from Woodridge.

Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Naper Boulevard at approximately 9:35 p.m. following reports of a serious collision involving injuries.

When police arrived, they discovered a blue 2024 Suzuki motorcycle and a gray 2024 VinFast SUV had been involved in the crash. Fields, the rider of the motorcycle, succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite life-saving efforts by paramedics.

Authorities reported that Fields was traveling east on Chicago Avenue at a high speed and proceeded into the intersection while the traffic signal was green. At the same time, the SUV was turning left from westbound Maple Avenue onto southbound Naper Boulevard when Fields struck the vehicle on its passenger side.

As of now, law enforcement officials have not filed any charges related to the incident.
