Police in Lake City have confirmed that Fernando “Tic” Barr, a prominent businessman, died from injuries sustained during a violent domestic incident on Thursday night.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting on Simmons Street around 10:30 p.m., where they found three individuals with various injuries.

Emergency medical services transported all three to a nearby hospital. One had been shot, another showed signs of blunt force trauma to the face, and a third had gunshot wounds along with severe cuts to the neck.

Despite being conscious at the time of transport, Fernando Barr later died from his injuries at the hospital, according to police.

The Lake City Police Department stated that all three people involved knew each other, and two of them were family members.

One of the two surviving individuals has since been released from the hospital, while the other remains under medical care.

Authorities confirmed that this was a domestic situation and are continuing their investigation. They are asking anyone with information to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
