Fatal Jackson shooting death of LaJarvis Ruffin

Authorities in Jackson have identified LaJarvis Ruffin as the individual who was fatally shot at Park Springs Apartments on Thursday.

Police responded to the complex on Shaw Road following reports of gunfire and found Ruffin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Ruffin was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries.

At this time, investigators have not released any information regarding a suspect or possible motive in the shooting.
