Percy Silas Kimbrough dies in fatal Elbert County crash

Fatal Elbert County crash death of Percy Silas Kimbrough

Elbert County officials have confirmed that one-year-old Percy Silas Kimbrough lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Athens Highway on the evening of June 19.

According to Elbert County Coroner Chuck Almond, Kimbrough, who lived on Athens Highway, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders including E911, EMS, the Elbert County Fire Department, sheriff’s deputies, and Georgia State Patrol officers all responded to the crash, which occurred around 5:52 p.m.

The Georgia State Patrol is currently leading the investigation into what caused the tragic accident. Coroner Almond extended his condolences to the family and friends mourning the loss of baby Percy.

Authorities continue their inquiry as they work to determine the exact factors behind this devastating crash.
