Fatal Portsmouth shooting death of Omar Tyron Evans

Portsmouth police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday evening in the 2100 block of Elm Avenue, where two individuals were fatally shot.

 

Officers arrived on scene around 5:20 p.m. and found 39-year-old Omar Tyron Evans suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location. Another victim, 43-year-old Alice Otealia Watson, was transported to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

 

Authorities have released surveillance images of two suspects believed to be involved. The first suspect is described as a Black male wearing gray joggers, black shoes, a black zip-up hoodie, and a black Nike mask. The second is also a Black male, seen wearing black pants with a white logo on the left thigh, a black Nike hoodie, and a black mask. Police warn both should be considered armed and dangerous.
