Matthew Frederic Hudec dies in fatal Chisago County head-on crash

Fatal Chisago County head-on crash death of Matthew Frederic Hudec

Matthew Frederic Hudec, age 50, lost his life early Friday morning after a head-on collision in Chisago County. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the crash happened around 6:51 a.m. on Highway 95 near Roe Avenue in Franconia Township.

According to officials, an Audi driven by Hudec was traveling north on Highway 95 when it crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with a southbound Ford F250. The impact resulted in Hudec’s immediate death at the scene.

The Ford’s driver, a 53-year-old man, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
