A two-car collision on Saturday morning in Fayette County claimed the life of 17-year-old Marcus Bentley from Washington Court House.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Wilmington Post, the crash occurred around 6:55 a.m. on State Route 753, situated between U.S. 35 and Robinson Road in Union Township.

Authorities report that a 32-year-old man from Springboro was heading northeast in a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with Bentley’s 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, which was traveling southwest.

Bentley was thrown from his pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

The Springboro driver was initially taken to Fayette Memorial Hospital and later airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. His current medical condition has not been disclosed.

The incident remains under active investigation by law enforcement officials.
