A multi-vehicle crash along Highway 141 in Guthrie County late Tuesday night resulted in the death of 60-year-old Jerry Hager, a resident of Coon Rapids, Iowa.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred around 10 p.m., approximately one mile west of Bagley, during a period of stormy weather.

Hager was traveling eastbound on Highway 141 when he veered across the center line, sideswiping one vehicle before colliding head-on with another. He died at the scene as a result of the crash.

The Iowa Department of Transportation reports that roadway fatalities statewide have reached 110 so far this year, which is slightly lower than the total at this time last year.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
