A deadly crash occurred in North Phoenix on the evening of June 19, claiming the life of 77-year-old Barbara Jean Greenwall. The incident took place near the intersection of 7th Street and Thunderbird Road around 9:00 p.m.

Authorities say Greenwall was attempting to cross Thunderbird Road midblock when she was struck by a vehicle heading west. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries.

Phoenix Police have stated that the driver involved in the crash has not been publicly identified. However, Sgt. Robert Scherer confirmed that impairment does not appear to have played a role in the incident.
