A stabbing at a house party in Keyes resulted in the death of one individual, authorities reported Friday night. Deputies were dispatched to the residence located on Jennie Avenue shortly before 10:45 p.m. Following their arrival, reports indicated at least one person had suffered a stab wound.

The initial assessment revealed two women outside the property, both victims of stabbing attacks. One woman, identified as 20-year-old Keyes resident Emily Lopez, was reported to be responsive upon their arrival but later succumbed to her injuries. The second woman involved was conscious and alert and was transported to the hospital, where medical staff expect she will recover.

Sheriff’s deputies also noted several other individuals sustained injuries from being struck with fists, kicks, or blunt objects. The official caseload remains under investigation, with reports indicating two or three victims received care at the scene, while one was admitted to the hospital. Additional individuals declined medical intervention.

Law enforcement personnel secured the premises, leading to the temporary detention of several people inside the house. These individuals were subsequently released following standard interview procedures.

Investigators are actively pursuing leads to identify the person responsible for the stabbing incident.
