Sheffield Lake authorities have confirmed the tragic deaths of two individuals discovered within a residence Saturday. The 65-year-old male, identified as Scott Lilies, is confirmed to have self-inflicted the fatal wound. His wife, Shari Lilies, aged 64, was also pronounced deceased from gunshot injuries at the scene.
Police records indicate initial dispatches sent around 4 p.m. were for a reported injured female elsewhere. Responding officers arrived at the Cove Beach Avenue address to find the scene locked in, leading to forced entry. Inside, they discovered the fatal circumstances involving the male victim and the subsequent death of the female. Both fatalities are being treated as linked events under ongoing investigation.
First responders assured the public that there were no immediate threats emanating from the location at the time of their arrival. The identified suspects, if any, have not yet been apprehended.
