A sixty-six-year-old woman was identified by authorities as the victim killed in a hit-and-run collision on a downtown Los Angeles street. The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. Friday on Third Street and Beaudry Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The cause of the strike remains under investigation, with uncertainty surrounding the exact location on either the Harbor (110) Freeway or a close surface road. The county Coroner’s Office confirmed the woman, named as Shirley Decorte by official sources, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her residential address was not released to the public during the initial reports. In response to the fatal accident, the California Highway Patrol closed the Third Street exit from the southbound 110 Freeway for the duration of their ongoing probe into the incident.
