Janesville authorities have confirmed the identity of the fourth individual who perished following a violent incident at a local apartment complex this month. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s office has officially identified the deceased as Haylee R. Lounsbury, a 21-year-old resident of Janesville.
The unfortunate event unfolded at the Aspen Square Apartments during a tragic incident that claimed multiple lives. Initial reports indicated that a single individual discharged a firearm, resulting in the deaths of three others before ultimately taking their own life. Emergency medical services transported Lounsbury to a nearby hospital where, unfortunately, she succumbed to her severe injuries.
While three victims were pronounced deceased at the scene shortly after the shooting occurred on June 17th, Lounsbury’s passing was officially confirmed later when medical personnel declared her death at the facility. The underlying causes and specific manner of her death are still pending further examination by the medical examiner’s office.
Previous identifications by the Rock County authorities revealed that Julia K. Cvicker, Jahvarius J. Wicks, and Scott M. Roberts also lost their lives in this devastating incident. Law enforcement officials have not yet specified which of the five involved was the shooter.
Investigators indicate the shooting originated from a domestic relationship between two of those present. Fortunately, no minors were involved in the tragic events that unfolded within the apartment complex. The ongoing investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the complete circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking tragedy.
