Fatal Ludlow car crash death of Kelsey J. Greider
Kelsey J. Greider, a 30-year-old resident of Ludlow, Illinois, has been identified as one of the victims who lost their life following a tragic vehicle collision near Ludlow on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the crash happened around 4:45 p.m. and involved two vehicles: a pickup truck and a passenger car. Greider was a passenger in the car at the time of the incident. Emergency responders rushed her to Carle Hospital for treatment, but she later passed away from her injuries.
The driver of the car, 56-year-old Joyce R. Surratt from Paxton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck’s driver, identified as 62-year-old Scott A. Meuser, also from Paxton, also died at the location of the crash.
Autopsies are expected to be completed this week. The Champaign County Coroner’s Office and Sheriff’s Office are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
