The fatal Long Beach freeway transition road crash victim has been identified as Kurtis Haynes.
California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene around 8:55 p.m. Tuesday at the connector road linking the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway. They found the deceased pedestrian and two vehicles involved in the incident. Officer Ramon Kendricks confirmed the details to City News Service.
The county Medical Examiner’s office identified the deceased as Kurtis Haynes, a 40-year-old male. Law enforcement officials have not yet disclosed information regarding his place of residence within the city.
