A Montana Highway Patrol report revealed that Everett Edwards, a 45-year veteran of emergency services in the Clarks Fork Valley, passed away due to injuries sustained during an on-duty vehicle accident near Fromberg on June 16th. The collision occurred on Highway 310, as Edwards attempted a left turn onto Goldie Road while transporting patients.

Dispatched units arrived swiftly after the ambulance was struck from behind by a southbound Ford F350 truck driven by an 85-year-old woman. Both drivers were transported to medical facilities for treatment, however Edwards succumbed to his injuries on June 23rd. The condition of the other driver remains unspecified by local authorities.

The memorial service for Edwards is scheduled to take place at the Fromberg Public School gymnasium on Friday, June 27th at 11 a.m. Funeral arrangements are pending further notice.
