Fatal Larimer County drowning death of Larry Baker
A body that was recently found at Larimer County’s Watson Lake has been officially identified as missing 80-year-old Larry Baker of Fort Collins, an avid fisherman. The body of Baker was found on June 22 in the northside area of the lake, with Baker reported missing on June 17. His vehicle was soon found at Watson Lake State Wildlife Area after the related search started. On June 23, the Larimer County Forensic Sciences Center determined via autopsy that Baker’s cause of death was accidental drowning. Information about whether or not Baker was wearing a personal flotation device at the time of his death was not released. Condolences go out to those impacted by this tragic death.
