Fatal Shooting of Alexcia Ayers in Carr Street
Homicide detectives are currently investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred on December 29th. The victim, identified as 24-year-old Alexcia Ayers, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds sustained at the scene located in the 700 block of Carr Street. Emergency Medical Services pronounced her dead at the scene following the officers’ arrival.
Prior to the incident, which happened before 10 p.m., law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment building at that specific location. Upon their arrival, they found the female victim with gunshot wounds. She was deceased upon EMS arrival.
The ongoing investigation is being handled by the Homicide Division.
