Dominic Fajardo dies in fatal Sheridan car crash
Fatal car crash death of Dominic Fajardo
Officials from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reported that a fatal vehicle collision occurred Thursday early morning in Sheridan.
According to the office’s public information officer, Bryan Melton, the incident transpired shortly before 9 a.m. at the intersection of East First Street and South Georgia Street.
Melton explained that the Sheridan Police Department began a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle. During the operation, the department momentarily lost track of the suspect vehicle before rediscovering it in Veteran’s Park, severely damaged.
Upon approaching the scene, authorities provided immediate medical assistance to the driver. Unfortunately, the injuries suffered in the accident proved fatal.
The individual who lost their life was identified as 19-year-old Dominic Fajardo, who was operating a GMC Chevy pickup at the time.
Investigators are actively seeking public assistance to aid their investigation.
