Fatal Harris County stabbing death of Anna Sanchez
Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are actively seeking a suspect after a stabbing incident claimed the life of a woman at a gaming machine inside a gas station along Highway 6 South. The tragic event occurred in the southwest section of Harris County.
According to law enforcement, the stabbing took place at the Super Stop and Phillips 66 gas station, specifically at the intersection of Highway 6 South and Beechnut, around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday. Sgt. Johnson reported that the victim, identified as 43-year-old Anna Sanchez, was sitting at a gaming device before engaging in a brief conversation with the suspect.
During that interaction, the suspect allegedly stabbed her multiple times, targeting her chest and head. Medical personnel transported the injured woman to a hospital, but she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators are searching for a Hispanic man described as having a medium build. He is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35 and fled the scene on a bicycle.
