Dillon County authorities reported that a well-known establishment, South of the Border, became the scene of a tragic shooting event on Thursday. Tragically, a sixty-one-year-old woman identified as Patricia Britt from Marlboro County did not survive the incident.
According to Sheriff Jamie Hamilton of Dillon County, the fatal shooting incident occurred at the Pantry West location within South of the Border, situated off Highway 301, later on that same day. Law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of Patricia Britt as a direct result of the gunfire.
The ongoing investigation conducted by detectives revealed that several individuals were implicated in this incident. Charges have since been filed against three individuals.
Deputies arrested thirty-nine-year-old Tina Rebecca Pernell of Hamer on charges including accessory to murder. She is currently confined at the Dillon County Detention Center. Nineteen-year-old Ja’Heem Antwan Pernell of Hamer is listed as a suspect wanted for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent act. Additionally, twenty-two-year-old Aalyiah Monique Priest of Hamer is also wanted for murder charges.
Law enforcement has issued a strong caution regarding the two wanted individuals, describing them as potentially armed and dangerous. The public is advised to avoid any contact or pursuit of Ja’Heem Antwan Pernell or Aalyiah Monique Priest and to report any information to authorities.
