Miami authorities confirmed the death of Marie Roseme, who was pronounced deceased on Thursday following her rescue attempt in the Miami River. The woman, initially identified as 39-year-old Marie Roseme, was discovered motionless on the water’s surface near Southwest River Drive under the Southwest 1st Street bridge.

Miami police indicated that Roseme encountered an altercation on the seawall before William Youmans, a 47-year-old man, forcefully propelled her into the river. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when she was found unconscious and floating in the Miami River after being allegedly pushed into the waterway.

Despite extensive rescue efforts, Roseme was declared dead later that day. Youmans, the 47-year-old man, was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder. It is reported that he may be subject to additional charges stemming from this tragic event.
