Fatal shooting death of Andrea Kimbrough

A man has passed away following a fatal incident in Nashville. The event was a shooting that took place in the Napier-Sudekum area on Friday afternoon. Two family members were involved in the shooting which resulted from an ongoing disagreement.

According to information provided by Metro police, the shooting occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. in the 90 block of Carroll Street. The two individuals involved were identified as 47-year-old Andrea Kimbrough and her 59-year-old uncle, Prentice Calloway.

Andrea Kimbrough was fatally wounded in the incident. Prentice Calloway is receiving medical treatment in a critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Preliminary findings from the Metro police Homicide Unit indicate that the shooting was linked to a long-standing conflict between the two men.
