Fatal Knox County motorcycle crash death of Alicia Johnson
A devastating incident on State Route 95 resulted in the death of a local woman from Mansfield on Sunday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Alicia Johnson, who was 70 years old and from Plymouth, was riding her Vespa motorcycle and lost command of the vehicle, leading to it leaving the road and veering to the right side around noon on that day. She was traveling with a companion, Bridgette Murray, who is 52 and also from Mansfield.
Following the accident, both Johnson and Murray were brought to Ohio Health in Mansfield for medical treatment. Tragically, Murray did not survive her injuries and was later confirmed dead at the hospital, while Johnson sustained injuries that required medical attention. Authorities highlighted that Murray was not wearing a safety helmet at the time of the crash.
