Fatal Knox County motorcycle crash death of Bridgette Murray
A sorrowful incident on State Route 95 on Sunday afternoon has resulted in the loss of a Mansfield woman. The heartbreaking accident claimed Ms. Murray’s life.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that Bridgette Murray, who was 52 and from Mansfield, was a passenger on a Vespa being ridden by Alicia Johnson. Johnson, aged 70 and from Plymouth, lost command of the vehicle and it departed the road at approximately 12:25 p.m. This day concluded with Murray’s death.
After the mishap, both individuals were taken to Ohio Health in Mansfield for medical attention. Unfortunately, Bridgette Murray did not survive her injuries. In contrast, Alicia Johnson experienced non-fatal injuries and received care.
It was noted by authorities that Ms. Murray was not equipped with a helmet at the time of the accident.
Officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol were at the scene to investigate the crash. The details surrounding the loss of control are still under review. This incident brings attention to road safety concerns in the area.
