According to the State Police report, Mr. Chaney, who was 34 years old, was traveling east on Pack Saddle Road, close to the Pack Saddle Bridge. The official account states that Mr. Chaney failed to successfully navigate a left turn, which caused him to lose control of his UTV. As a result, the vehicle overturned. Mr. Chaney was thrown from the utility transport vehicle during the overturn. The police noted that Mr. Chaney was neither wearing a seatbelt nor a helmet at the time of the accident.
