Fatal Anderson County car crash death of Dustin McConnell
Following an examination, the Anderson County Coroner’s office identified the deceased individual involved in the previous day’s collision as 30-year-old Dustin McConnell, who resided in Honea Path. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon along Due West Highway, near the intersection with Trail Road. According to the ongoing investigation, Mr. McConnell’s vehicle crossed the central dividing line and collided with a substantial trailer that was being pulled by another motor vehicle. Emergency medical services provided care at the scene before transporting the injured man to Prisma Health – Greenville Memorial Hospital. Tragically, the man passed away during the evening hours of Thursday. Officials have determined that his demise was the result of accidental injuries sustained in the road accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to probe the circumstances surrounding the collision.
