Louisiana State Police have confirmed the death of a pedestrian following a serious motor vehicle collision. The incident occurred on Highway 63 in Ascension Parish, situated near Oliver Wheat Road in Livingston Parish.
The official news release from LSP Troop A details that the accident transpired before 10:45 p.m. on June 28. Tragically, 47-year-old Matthew Migliore from St. Amant did not survive the injuries he sustained. Reports indicate that Mr. Migliore was walking northbound in the left lane when he was involved in a collision with a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The release further confirms that Mr. Migliore was transported to a hospital after sustaining critical injuries. Regrettably, his condition deteriorated, resulting in his death at the facility. Notably, the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash escaped injury.
