The driver involved in a fatal motorcycle collision on June 10th was identified by Colorado Springs police as Nicholas Navarino, a 38-year-old man.

An official from the El Paso County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the deceased motorcyclist was Nicholas Navarino, aged 38.

The accident took place at approximately 12:40 in the early morning hour, located just south of Interquest Parkway. Upon arrival, police found the rider with severe injuries. He was taken to a local medical facility but unfortunately passed away there.

According to the Police Department, the motorcyclist was proceeding northbound on Powers Boulevard at an excessive speed and failed to handle the curve properly. As a result, the rider veered off the left side of the road and crashed into the median barrier.

The Police Department stated that this incident marks the 17th traffic-related fatality in Colorado Springs this year. At the same time last year, there were 27 such deaths. Over the past 365 days, a total of 39 traffic fatalities have been reported in Colorado Springs.
