The Williamsburg County Coroner’s Office has officially identified Mycheal Edwards-Wallace, a 18-year-old from Kingstree, and Edwin Cooper, a 16-year-old also from Kingstree, as the two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident at the Kings Crossing Apartment Complex on Sunday evening.

According to the coroner, Ivori L. Henryhand, an autopsy is scheduled to take place on July 5 to determine further details regarding their fatal injuries.

Kingstree Police Chief Kimberly Marlowe informed that dispatchers received a report about a shooting at an apartment in the 200 block of North Brooks Street at around 8:16 p.m. on Sunday. Police responded to the scene and discovered four people involved in the incident. One individual died immediately at the location, while the remaining three were transported by emergency medical services to a regional hospital. Tragically, one of those transported later succumbed to their wounds.

The condition of the other two individuals who were taken to the hospital was not disclosed at the time of the initial report.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has been officially requested by the Kingstree agency to conduct an investigation into this shooting.

As of late Sunday, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting.
