The Caddo Parish Coroner’s office has officially identified the individual killed in the recent shooting at Ford Park. This occurred in the western part of the city.
According to official records, the incident took place on June 22. The victim, identified as Edgar Villa, was a nineteen-year-old male. The shooting happened around the evening hour of nine p.m. The specific location was the 5800 block of South Lakeshore Drive.
Emergency services transported Villa to Ochsner LSU Health hospital. Despite the medical intervention, he was pronounced deceased the following day, June 23. This unfortunate event represents the seventeenth confirmed homicide within the city limits of Shreveport as reported recently.
