The fatal collision took place around 9:03 p.m. on Sunday at the junction of Sunset Boulevard and Sierra Bonita Avenue, according to the county’s Medical Examiner’s office. The details were provided by the agency.
As reported by the Los Angeles Police Department, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Sunset Boulevard and collided with the woman who was crossing southbound on Sierra Bonita Avenue, specifically outside the marked crosswalk area.
LAPD Officer David Cuellar stated that the driver departed the scene swiftly, moving south on Gardner Street in a blue Mercedes-Benz G-class sport utility vehicle.
