Fatal Mishawaka train collision death of Georgia Johnson
Police have released the identity of the woman struck by a train over the weekend. The 92-year-old Georgia Johnson, from Granger, was killed when her vehicle collided with a Norfolk Southern train on Saturday evening.
Officials reported that Ms. Johnson was traveling north on Spring Street when she drove beneath the railroad crossing arms. This action resulted in the train making contact with her car. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
