The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual who passed away Thursday evening after falling from a cliff near Devil’s Slide, located just south of Pacifica. The deceased is a 37-year-old woman named Inna Kurtzeliieva.

Officials announced the identification on Friday. According to reports, emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Thursday at approximately 7:45 p.m., after Highway 1 was closed south of Pacifica due to the incident.

Ms. Kurtzeliieva was pronounced deceased at the location. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Interestingly, authorities reported a similar situation occurring just hours earlier. Police stated that a driver of an overturned Tesla had been rescued from a vehicle dangling precariously over a cliff edge. Responders reportedly gained access to the person through a rear window for their safety before reopening the road.
