Officials confirmed the identity of the man killed during a disturbance in Owensboro this week.

Coroners reports indicate that Joshua Hardison, aged 30, was pronounced deceased after sustaining gunshot injuries on Sunday evening. The incident took place in the 1800 block of Hughes Avenue. Another individual, identified as 52-year-old Kelly Anderson, was also found at the scene. She suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and received medical attention.

Law enforcement responders were sent to the location following a report that included sounds of a fight and gunfire just before midnight. Inside the apartment, officers discovered Hardison and Anderson both showing signs of being shot. Medical professionals later stated that Anderson’s condition was stable.

Investigators are examining the possibility that unauthorized individuals entered the premises and engaged in a violent confrontation that resulted in the fatal shooting.
