CHEROKEE COUNTY, Texas — A man has died following a serious crash that involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Sunday evening.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The location was CR 4401, just off FM 2274, in the Ponta area.
A DPS investigator explained that the pickup truck was heading west on CR 4401, pulling a trailer, while the motorcycle was going east on the same road. They collided head-on while both were driving in the center of the road. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle.
The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Brian Jackson Neal. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
