A 36-year-old woman from Eunice has died following a single-vehicle accident on Louisiana Highway 190. Officials report the incident occurred in Jeff Davis Parish near the intersection of Bornsdall Road.
According to Louisiana State Police, Chelsea Wilson was driving her 2005 Toyota Tacoma westbound on the roadway when she lost control, crossed the center line, and struck a tree. The driver was unrestrained at the time of impact and succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Standard procedures for traffic fatalities on Louisiana roads resulted in the collection of biological evidence for laboratory examination. Troopers with Troop D are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
