Fatal Dallas train crash death of Melissa Rose Campanella
A Dallas official has identified one of two people killed in a train collision as Melissa Rose Campanella, a 50-year-old. The cause of her death was the train hitting her vehicle. The crash happened Wednesday near the Medical Market TRE Station at Harry Hines Boulevard around 9:30 a.m. The second victim in the vehicle has not been identified. It is not known if Ms. Campanella was driving or was a passenger. DART authorities confirmed that the family of the deceased were informed on Wednesday afternoon. Rail service was temporarily halted while the tracks were cleared, with full operations resuming approximately four hours later. No train passengers were injured as a result of the incident.
