Fatal Wallingford car crash death of Aidan Russell

WALLINGFORD — The Wallingford police have identified the individual who lost their life in the Tuesday motorcycle incident on South Colony Road. It appears the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, according to police Lieutenant Stephen Jaques.

The motorcyclist, identified as Aidan Russell from North Haven, was involved in a two-vehicle accident with a Lexus RX450, Jaques reported. The Suzuki SV650 motorcycle was one of the vehicles in the crash. The driver of the other car was a 46-year-old man who stayed at the scene and worked with the authorities.

As stated by Lieutenant Jaques, the collision happened near the intersection with Wharton Brook Connector, the access point to Interstate 91. He explained that the motorcyclist was heading north while the driver of the Lexus was going south when the driver turned left into the connector, causing the accident.

Emergency services provided aid, but unfortunately, Aidan Russell passed away from his injuries at the scene. Jaques mentioned that no arrests were made at the time of the incident.
