Fatal Corcoran shooting death of Joshua Morton
A man has been killed following a shooting incident in Corcoran early Thursday.
CORCORAN, California (KFSN) – Two individuals involved in a fatal shooting have been identified as Joshua Morton, aged 30, and Francisco Montez, 19 years old.
Morton is reported to be from Hanford, while Montez is a resident of Corcoran.

Around 12:01 AM on Thursday, law enforcement responded to a disturbance involving gunfire and a collision reported near a business located at the intersection of Dairy and Stanley avenues. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman who they stated was struck by Morton, and she was in the process of closing her food truck for the night.
Investigators located Morton at the scene, where he was pronounced deceased due to his injuries. Montez was taken to a hospital in Tulare County; however, his condition deteriorated, resulting in his death shortly after.
This incident marks the third homicide recorded in Corcoran during the present year. The woman who was injured has since been treated and released from the medical facility.
