Fatal Corpus Christi shooting death of Adrian Martinez
The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s office officially confirmed that the individual who passed away was Adrian Martinez. He was 44 years of age at the time.
Martinez’s death resulted from a bullet wound sustained inside a home situated in the 5000 block of Cain Drive, as per the medical examiner’s report.
Corpus Christi law enforcement apprehended Kimberly Rodriguez, a 40-year-old woman, and accused her of homicide. She is the suspected person who discharged a firearm.
According to Senior Officer Antonio Contreras of the Corpus Christi Police Department, Martinez and Rodriguez were in a dating partnership.
Police discovered Martinez inside the property at exactly 8:05 a.m. on July 7. They provided immediate medical attention but he could not be saved.
Rodriguez had vacated the scene before the arrival of the officers and was captured later.
The ongoing criminal probe indicates that the case remains under active examination.
