An official probe is currently underway following a fatal shooting that occurred on the fourth of July in Montgomery.
Emergency dispatchers received the first call at 6:21 p.m. on Friday regarding what was reported as a shooting incident.
Upon police and fire medical personnel’s arrival at the designated location, they discovered the body of La’Byrion Caffey, a 20-year-old male, still alive on the premises according to Montgomery police Lieutenant David Wise. Wise released this information on Monday.
The authorities have determined that Caffey’s death constitutes a homicide case. However, further specifics regarding the incident have not been made public.
