Police are investigating the death of Bronwyn Clark, who was hit by a vehicle while walking on Hardie Road in Spencer Park, Albany, on Wednesday evening. Clark was transported to the Albany Health Campus but succumbed to her injuries. A black Honda CRV driven by a man was identified by detectives, arrested, and released without charges after assisting with the investigation. The driver remains under suspicion as the vehicle is being kept for forensic examination.
The daughter of the deceased expressed profound grief and urged anyone with information to come forward. Detective Senior Sergeant Hugh Letessier confirmed that dash cam and CCTV footage are being reviewed. Two witnesses reported seeing the vehicle run over Clark before stopping to provide emergency aid. The investigation indicates the driver behaved normally on the CCTV recording but the vehicle was later observed passing by the hospital.
Detective Senior Sergeant Hugh Letessier stated that reconstructing the events through available surveillance footage is expected to yield significant results. “We anticipate that when we connect all the evidence, we will obtain a comprehensive understanding of what transpired and identify those involved,” he commented.
