According to Detective Thomas Burnett of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was involved in the event while driving around 7:30 a.m. near Waldron Road, heading towards Nashville.
The deceased individual is identified as Noah Taylor, who was 22 years old and a resident of Smyrna. Burnett provided details about the scene, noting that the collision took place on the westbound lanes of I-24. Investigators are actively seeking assistance from the public to unravel the circumstances behind this homicide.
Deputies have issued a request for dashboard camera footage from individuals who were on the road during the specified time frame. Burnett emphasized the importance of such evidence, stating that any visual recordings from the area between Interstate 840 and Bell Road, specifically between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., could prove valuable in advancing the investigation.
