Fatal Fall River shooting death of Domonick Knight

Police from Fall River reported that they discharged their weapons and ended the life of a man who was locked in a tense confrontation at a residence during the middle of the night. The series of events unfolded shortly before dawn on Tuesday.

Identified as a 38-year-old man, Domonick Knight, was located on the upper floor of a house at 117 Langley Street by investigators. The Bristol District Attorney’s office confirmed that two guns were in close proximity to him at the time.

Emergency services arrived at approximately 1:30 in the early morning hours to find that someone was inside the house and posed a danger to themselves. Authorities immediately evacuated all other people living in the building and attempted to communicate with the individual for a period of time.

Despite extensive discussions, the talks did not lead to a resolution. Consequently, law enforcement personnel entered the property at about 3:15 in the morning. During this operation, there was an interaction involving gunfire inside the home.

Domonick Knight sustained a serious injury from being shot and was rushed to a medical center for emergency care. Regrettably, his health condition deteriorated, and he passed away at the facility. Further examination through an autopsy is still pending.

The state’s investigative team from the police force has taken over the case for thorough examination and is currently looking into all aspects of what happened.
