Law enforcement teams were sent to a specific house situated at the 1800 block of Darien Drive, positioned between Alexandria Drive and Lane Allen Road, following a report of an unconscious person. This dispatch came around 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
As the officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had suffered a bullet injury. Medical personnel on the scene confirmed that the individual had passed away before being there.
The Fayette County Coroner’s office officially identified the deceased as Dean Dalrymple, a 60-year-old resident.
