Arkansas State Police announced the identity of a teenager killed in a one-car accident this month near Batesville. According to the state police report, Kenneth Mack Edward McCorkle, who was 18 years old, lost his life after his southbound Ford Edge collided with a retaining wall on St. Louis Street and subsequently burst into flames. The incident took place shortly before 4 a.m. on July 6 near the Tai Lee restaurant. Weather conditions at the time were characterized as clear and dry. Additionally, state police indicated that while McCorkle’s official city of residence was listed as Defuniak Springs, Florida, he maintained family connections in the Pulaski County area.
